Most users buy it to prepare their own washing powder.

"Ingredients:

• 1 part of baking soda (e.g. "Soda"). 4 spoons),
• 1 part of sodium percarbonate (e.g. 4 spoons),
• 2 parts of borax (e.g. 8 spoons),
• 1 part of vinegar (e.g. 4 spoons),
• optionally a few drops of essential oil.

The dry ingredients are mixed thoroughly in a bowl or jar, then poured over with vinegar and stirred again, possibly adding the essential oil. The soda and vinegar will foam for a while (carbon dioxide escapes), so do not turn the jar down!

With a spoon, mix well to make a white, fairly homogeneous paste (sodium percarbonate is in the form of tiny granules and will remain so). Put it into ice moulds or other small containers, place it in a warm, dry place (away from the source of fire, sodium percarbonate is VERY flammable, to be precise: it facilitates burning of flammable substances). After a few hours the tablets are ready - just "tap" them out of the mold and use them as normal tablets. "
